FAQs
We’ve gathered the most frequently asked questions to help you quickly find what you need.
How quickly will I see results with my clients?
AGEs build up gradually over many years. Once formed, they disappear only slowly. But the good news is that you can slow down the accumulation of new AGEs. With consistent lifestyle changes, improvements may be visible after 3–6 months and further progress often becomes clear over longer follow-up.
Is the AGE-measurement reliable?
Yes. Scientific research shows a strong correlation between the fluorescent signal measured by the AGE Scanner and AGE levels confirmed in biopsies. Numerous studies consistently link AGE accumulation to premature aging and chronic disease. As with any biological measurement, small variations of around 5% may occur when repeated within a short time frame.
Do I need special medical knowledge to use the AGE scanner?
No, you don’t need medical training to operate the AGE Scanner. It is designed to be simple and user-friendly. A basic understanding of healthy aging and lifestyle, however, can help you explain the results more effectively to your clients.
What does a scan cost for my client?
That depends on your practice model. Some therapists charge a separate fee for each scan (often around 30–50 USD), while others include the measurement as part of a consultation or program. You decide what best fits your services.
How can the AGE Scanner benefit my business?
The AGE Scanner helps differentiate your practice with a science-based approach. It can attract new clients, increase loyalty among existing ones who want to track their progress, and open opportunities for offering additional products or services that support healthy aging.
How long does one scan take?
A single scan takes only 12 seconds. For accuracy, we recommend using the 5-fold measurement protocol, which brings the total procedure to about one minute. This ensures reliable and reproducible results.
Do clients feel anything during the scan?
No. The scan is completely painless and non-invasive. It uses a small flash of UV light that clients cannot feel.
How often should clients be scanned?
AGEs build up slowly. The truth is, they also leave the body slowly. The best strategy is to try and reduce the rate at which AGEs are formed, that is already health progress. Realistically it will take 3 to 6 months as a minimum before significant results can be achieved.
Do I need special training to use the scanner?
No special training is required. The Scanner is designed to be intuitive and operator-independent. A short onboarding is sufficient to get started.
Can the results be shared or stored digitally?
Yes. Results are securely stored and accessible only to you and your client. They are also available in a clear client report that can easily be shared.
Can I integrate results into my practice software?
Yes. Results are available in the AGE Scanner app, where you and your clients can view outcomes, track
follow-up scans, and monitor progress over time. Reports can also be shared digitally, making it easy to integrate results into your consultations and keep clients engaged between visits.
Can I try the scanner before I commit?
Yes. Every plan comes with a 1 month risk-free trial. If you’re not satisfied, you can return the scanner within this period and get a full refund. You only start paying for your subscription when you continue.
What’s the difference between the Monthly and Upfront plans?
The Monthly Plan lets you spread your payments over 24 or 36 months, with a one-time hardware fee at the start. With the Upfront Plan you pay for the services at once, saving you 5–10% compared to a monthly plan. Both plans include the same features and support.
Is the hardware included in the price?
No. You always pay a separate one-time fee for your scanner(s). Every plan includes app access, updates, training, and full support. Please contact us to order your scanner(s). After receipt of payment we can ship instantly.
What happens after my 24/36-month term ends?
At the end of your commitment, your plan automatically converts into a flexible month-to-month plan (Flex Plan) with the same features.
What if something goes wrong with my scanner?
No worries. If your scanner breaks within the 1-year warranty, we’ll replace it free of charge.
AGE Scanner vs body composition scale
Both tools estimate biological age, but from different health indicators.
The AGE scanner reflects long-term metabolic health and lifestyle effects, while a body composition scale reflects body composition and physical fitness.
Because they measure different aspects of health, the biological age values may differ. Together, they provide complementary insight into overall health.
